Swelling with Gulf Coast pride, Mob Towne Revival hails from Mobile, Alabama. The city’s central location along the Third Coast comes through in the music. The band has played in support of such acts as Trombone Shorty, Laura Reed, John Popper, and for hip-hop artists like Gift of Gab, Nappy Roots, and Bone Thugs-n-Harmony. MTR combines the sultriness of humid Delta blues, the vibe of hip-hop lyricists, the soul of the New Orleans’ funk scene, and the wild festivities of a Mardi Gras parade. The sound is big. The grooves are contagious & you will be shaking and baking when we hit the stage. MTR has rocked crowds across the Gulf Coast consistently and earned spots in a number of regional festivals. summer of '06 spawned the fruitless efforts of the chupacabra machine, a funk/rap/rock band from clearwater,fl. founders, vocalist jon ditty & drummer d-rok mutually agreed to postpone band endeavors in spring '07 w/ hopes of finding a new guitarist- this never happened. jon started this group as frontman/emcee and brought on DJ d-rok. sharing production, they formed project: SAVE c.a. hircus. their debut EP, College Radio was released in February of 2012 which now included Rob.E.Rob aka DJ One Up on production as well.
